Bield are now seeking Casual General Assistants to support cover requirements for planned and emergency leave. This would be a great opportunity for someone who would like to have more flexibility around their working arrangements and/or gain experience in social care.
Levenmouth Hub, consisting of Anderson Court, The Knowe, Hawkslaw Gardens, Braehead Gardens and Carlow Court, offers safe and secure homes to older people, who wish to retain their independence but also want to benefit from leaving the worries of making their own meals each day to someone else.
The successful candidates will undertake a range of cleaning duties to ensure that internal communal areas are clean, hygienic and meet the standards expected by our tenants and visitors to the development. You will also assist by preparing the dining room for mealtimes, heating prepared meals and delivering these dishes to tenants. On occasion, the General Assistant will be expected to clean vacant flats and/or external pathways of the development and provide general and emergency assistance to tenants, as required. In addition, you may be required to respond to property emergencies, taking appropriate action when the Manager is off duty and providing cover for the development office as required.
This role requires working flexibly across all developments within the local hub in line with service needs, ensuring continuity and consistency for our tenants.
Bield Offer:

- We pay 50% of the cost of Level 2 Disclosure checks

Shifts will be offered on a casual basis to cover planned and emergency leave. Ability to accept shifts at short notice would be desirable, however not essential.
Role Requirements:
- Experience of a similar type of role would be an advantage but is not an essential requirement as training will be provided.
- You should bring to the role a genuine interest in working with older people and an ability to respond calmly to requests for assistance.
- REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Qualification or equivalent would be desirable. Although relevant experience in a similar post is also desirable, it is not essential as induction and training (e.g. food hygiene) will be provided.
