We are recruiting Casual Managers to work within our Retirement Housing and Retirement Housing with Meals services. We have developments within the following communities within West Lothian:
- Armadale
- Bathgate
- Blackburn
- Broxburn
- Carmondean
- Craigshill
- Deans
- Fauldhouse
- Linlithgow
- Uphall
- West Calder
- Whitburn
- Winchburgh
You can choose to work at as many locations as you wish and although this advert is for West Lothian, you will have the opportunity to work across all Bield services.
You should ensure tenants receive a quality tenancy management and property maintenance service relating to the provision of their home, communal facilities are offering a welcoming, secure and comfortable environment to tenants and members of the public, and to encourage tenant involvement and engagement in making full use of these facilities.
You should maintain service standards relating to individuals properties and communal areas are maintained and ensure the scheme maintains a high level of cleanliness within all common parts undertaking a range of cleaning duties.
The Role:
As a Retirement Housing Manager you would ensure tenants receive a quality tenancy management and property maintenance service relating to:
- the provision of their home,
- communal facilities are offering a welcoming, secure and comfortable environment to tenants and members of the public,
- encourage tenant involvement and engagement in making full use of these facilities
Role Requirements:
- Excellent written, numerical and verbal skills, as well the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with tenants, relatives, colleagues and other professionals are considered essential requirements for this position.
- Experience of working in housing, social care or health services or to have demonstrable personal or volunteer experience is essential, through which a thorough understanding of the needs of older people and services provided to older people has been gained.

We offer:
- Casual Retirement Housing Manager starts at £14.48 per hour and Casual Manager: RHWM hourly rates is £16.26 per hour
- We pay 50% of the cost of Disclosure checks
- Flexible working hours including evenings and weekends
- No obligation to accept shifts so easy to fit in with personal commitments
- Work in a wide variety of housing and care services and roles
- Valuable practical work experience in social and health care sector
- Shifts will be offered on a casual basis to cover planned and emergency leave. Ability to accept shifts at short notice would be desirable, however not essential.
