Opportunity to join Bield's Casual bank! Our Retirement Housing Services in Monifieth, Dundee are currently looking for a Casual Retirement Housing Assistant to support cover requirements for planned and emergency leave. This would be a great opportunity for someone who would like to have more flexibility around their working arrangements and gain experience in social care. This post will be based in our Tay Court Development.

As an Assistant
The successful candidate will undertake a range of cleaning duties to ensure that internal communal areas are clean, hygienic and meet the standards expected by our tenants and visitors to the development. On occasion, the Assistant will be expected to clean vacant flats and/or external pathways of the development and provide general and emergency assistance to tenants, as required. In addition, you will respond to property emergencies, taking appropriate action when the Manager is off duty and providing cover for the development office as required.

- Shifts will be offered on a casual basis to cover planned and emergency leave. Ability to accept shifts at short notice would be desirable, however not essential.
About You
Experience of a similar type of role would be an advantage but is not an essential requirement as training will be provided. You should bring to the role a genuine interest in working with older people and an ability to respond calmly to requests for assistance.
