About the Role
Our client is undergoing a major transformation programme aimed at optimising operations, enabling scalability, and driving commercial excellence. This programme, initiated 12 months ago, has expanded in scope and will run until the end of 2027. We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to provide financial oversight and governance across this ambitious transformation journey. This is a critical role within a small, stretched transformation team, requiring strong technical accounting expertise combined with transformation experience. You will act as a trusted advisor, balancing support with challenge to stakeholders, ensuring financial delivery and cost control across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Governance & Oversight
- Lead internal reporting and external technical accounting for transformation activities.
- Manage transformation costs, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Provide financial challenge and guidance to stakeholders and workstream leads.
- Partner with the Transformation Office to ensure holistic cost control and financial delivery.
- Support governance processes and identify levers to optimise cost base while enabling growth.
- Oversee financial aspects of enabling functions (Finance, HR, IT) as they undergo transformation.
- Contribute to shaping leaner operations, automation, and scalability initiatives.
- Support commercial excellence workstreams focused on pricing, complexity reduction, and customer operations.
- Drive supply chain excellence through planning, manufacturing rationalisation, and inventory optimisation.
- Understand SAP landscape (two global instances) and implications for transformation.
- Prepare for migration to S/4HANA in 2027/28 without disrupting growth trajectory.
Candidate Profile:
- Background ACA/ACCA-qualified or equivalent with a strong technical accounting foundation.
- Proven experience in finance transformation and cost management.
