About the Company
A market-leading division of a global business services group (£1bn t/o) is seeking a talented Financial Controller for their UK&I Operations, and Business Partner for a £200m sub division.
The Role
As Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal leadership role, supporting the Finance Director and leading a team of 10 finance professionals. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a robust control environment, ensuring compliance with Group, Regional, and external standards, and delivering insightful financial reporting and analysis to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance Director in all aspects of financial management for the division
- Lead and develop the financial control environment, ensuring compliance with all relevant frameworks and standards (including US GAAP and SOX)
- Oversee business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly financial reporting and performance insights
- Manage internal and external audits, statutory accounts, and tax compliance
- Partner with senior business leaders and operational teams to support commercial decision-making and cashflow improvement
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Finance Managers and Contract Accountants
About You
- Qualified accountant, preferably ACA, with at least 6 years PQE
- Significant experience in financial accounting and reporting within a large, complex organisation
- Proven track record in managing month-end close, business planning, and financial controls
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Resilient, intellectually robust, and able to manage competing priorities
- Experience in multi-site, B2B environments preferred
