Due to continued success and growth in the region and nationwide, Bidwells are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable Project Managers across experience levels to play a pivotal part working on incredible, high profile, major real estate / construction projects within the life sciences and technology space. The Project Management team provides the project management of construction projects, contract administration and fund monitoring to clients, to ensure they run efficiently and effectively. The Team have worked on some diverse construction projects including science and tech facilities, hospitality and leisure, independent schools, office new builds and refurbishments and private residences.
What will you do?
- Plan and deliver projects, commissions, and professional assignments.
- Deliver as a leading or supporting project manager.
- Management and operations of value management and risk management procedures.
- Develop strategic project programmes and project execution plans.
- Develop client briefs and definition of project scope.
- Fully understand clients’ needs, requirements, business drivers, teams and processes.
- Client and stakeholder relationship management.
- Manage contracts and full contract administration.
- Maintain effective communication to ensure all information is available for successful project completion.
- Report writing and interpreting reports on work in progress.
- Undertake project management services with limited supervision.
- Undertake project financial management, fee forecasting and reporting.
- Make timely decisions to facilitate and deliver projects whilst still maintaining the integrity of the project and the client's objectives.
- Network internally and externally.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant project management standards and all regulations/legislation affecting the technical aspects of construction and share information where appropriate.
About You
The ideal candidate for this Project Manager role will preferably have experience of managing and delivering capital projects in a similar private sector, professional consultancy. Experience within the life sciences and/or technology sector would be desirable, or experience working on any major high profile projects would be an advantage. You will ideally have a RICS accredited degree in project management, building surveying, construction management, architecture, or closely connected subject. MRICS or equivalent from a chartered industry body, or working towards this would also be desirable, which we can support you with if needed. If you are an accredited NEC Project Manager or have NEC experience, this will be advantageous but not essential. You will ideally be proficient in the use of Microsoft Project. You will have strong negotiation, networking, communication, presentation, organisation and time management skills, and be a proactive, attentive team player. You will need a full UK driving licence to travel to client sites not easily accessible by the public transport network.
