Senior Surveyor/Associate - Capital Markets in London

Are you an experienced Capital Markets Surveyor looking for your next oppotunity? If so, Bidwells are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Associate to join our Capital Markets team in London.

This role gives our successful application the opportunity to play an important role in a growing team, advising clients on investment acquisitions and disposals across the UK commercial property market. You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues on high-quality mandates, while being given the autonomy and support to develop your own client relationships, identify new opportunities and build your profile in the market.

We’re looking for someone who combines strong transactional experience with an entrepreneurial mindset. You’ll be comfortable taking ownership of deals, developing relationships with investors and agents, and contributing ideas around how we can continue to grow our Capital Markets offering.

What you’ll be doing

As an Associate, you’ll have responsibility across the full investment transaction lifecycle, including:

• Advising institutional investors, private equity, property companies, funds, family offices and other investors on acquisitions and disposals.
• Managing investment sales and acquisition mandates from initial pitch through to completion.
• Identifying opportunities and providing informed, commercially focused investment advice to clients.
• Preparing investment reports, marketing materials, pitches and client presentations.
• Undertaking financial and property analysis to support investment recommendations.
• Coordinating due diligence and working closely with clients, solicitors, agents and other professional advisers to progress transactions.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with investors, property companies, developers and the wider agency community.
• Developing your own network and generating new business opportunities.
• Monitoring investment activity, pricing, yields and wider market trends to provide clients with relevant market intelligence.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across Bidwells, including our agency, development, planning, valuation and building consultancy teams, to identify opportunities and provide joined-up advice.
• Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team where appropriate.
• Playing an active role in the continued growth, profile and success of our London Capital Markets team.

About you

You’ll ideally be:

• MRICS qualified, with relevant experience within UK commercial property investment or capital markets.
• Experienced in investment acquisitions and/or disposals, ideally within a recognised property consultancy, investment firm or similarly commercial environment.
• Commercially astute, with a good understanding of investment fundamentals and the factors influencing property pricing and returns.
• Confident managing transactions and communicating with clients throughout the deal process.
• Well connected, or actively developing a network, within the UK investment market.
• Comfortable originating opportunities and contributing to business development rather than solely executing existing mandates.
• An excellent communicator who can build credibility and long-term relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive, ambitious and motivated by the opportunity to help grow a business.
• Collaborative in approach, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and disciplines.
