Bidwells Rural division is searching for motivated and ambitious Graduate Rural Surveyors who are looking to join our growing team in September 2026. The Rural team at Bidwells manages, consults, and offers strategic advice on over a million acres of farmland and estates across the country, working with some of the UK's top-performing rural businesses and landowners including Cambridge and Oxford colleges, pension funds, charities and companies.
As a Graduate Rural Surveyor, you will embark on a journey that blends hands-on experience with structured professional development. From day one, you'll get involved with everything including:
- Estate and farm management
- Property management and maintenance
- Valuations
- Landlord and tenant matters for residential, agricultural and commercial properties
- Drafting lease agreements, carrying out rent reviews, managing tenants' rents
- Diversification projects
- Business plans
- Farm and rural estate agency
- Compulsory purchase/utility schemes
- Farmland investment and development scheme
We're looking for graduates who aren't just technically proficient but also passionate about the rural environment and eager to make a difference. The ideal candidate will have:
- Passion for rural property, land, agriculture and the environment
- Relevant work experience within the rural sector
- A team player who embraces collaborative activities, takes responsibility and acts with a commercial mind
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Driving licence and access to your own vehicle (if this isn’t possible please highlight this on your application so we can explore options with you)
You’ll have the opportunity to grow alongside us, and we’re committed to supporting your progress every step of the way. We’ll provide extensive assistance with professional qualifications such as the RICS APC and CAAV, where our strong first-time pass rate speaks for itself.
You’ll also join our two-year graduate development program, designed to enhance your personal effectiveness, commercial and financial acumen, and client delivery skills.
