Do you have extensive real estate Project Management experience with specific knowledge of the defence, aerospace and/or advanced manufacturing sectors? If so, this fantastic specialist position within one of the UK’s leading property consultancies could be for you. Due to continued success and growth, we have a new opportunity for an Associate Project Manager or Project Director to join the Bidwells team. This particular role will focus primarily on working with the aerospace, defence and advanced manufacturing sectors, where we have an established presence and high quality clients.

The Project Management team provides the management of development and construction projects to ensure they run efficiently and effectively. Services include advising clients on project viability, design solutions, contractor appointment, consultant selection, tendering, quality and budget management to ensure a project is delivered from inception to completion with maximum client satisfaction.

What will you do?

  • Develop project programmes and project execution plans.
  • Develop client briefs and definition of project scope.
  • Fully understand clients’ needs, requirements, business drivers, teams and processes.
  • Client and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Prepare and present monthly project reports, and attend meetings.
  • Make timely decisions to facilitate and deliver projects whilst still maintaining the integrity of the project and the client's objectives.
  • Manage contracts and contract administration.
  • Manage fee agreements and invoicing.
  • Help drive growth, generate new business opportunities in Project Management and cross sell other services within the firm.
  • Network internally and externally.
  • Share technical and market knowledge, and demonstrate knowledge of the commercial and contracting marketplace.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant project management standards and all regulations/legislation affecting the technical aspects of construction and share information where appropriate.

About You

The successful candidate for this Associate Project Manager / Project Director role will ideally have considerable experience of managing and delivering multiple projects at the same time in a similar private sector, professional consultancy. Experience and a network with aerospace, defence and manufacturing sector clients is preferred, including a track-record of work-winning.

Experience working in security-sensitive environment and the ability to hold security clearance at a high level is essential, as is experience of embedding complex site logistics into a project’s design phase.

You will have a RICS accredited degree in project management, building surveying, construction management, architecture, or closely connected subject. MRICS or equivalent from a chartered industry body is desirable. If you are an accredited NEC Project Manager or have NEC experience, this will be advantageous.

You will ideally be proficient in the use of Microsoft Project. You will have strong negotiation, networking, communication, presentation, organisation and time management skills, and be a proactive, attentive team player.

You will need a full UK driving licence to travel to client sites not easily accessible by the public transport network.
