Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk looking for a new role? If so, Bidwells is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our Rural Client Accounting Team. Our successful applicant will play a key role in managing the supplier transactions for our rural clients. As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of invoices, reconciling of supplier accounts, preparation of payments and resolving queries. There may also be ad-hoc support required to the wider Client Accounting team. You will work closely with other members of the Client Accounting team, Rural surveyors, Clients, and Suppliers to maintain high standards of financial accuracy and compliance.
This is a part-time position offering 20–25 hours per week, with flexibility around how these hours are arranged for the right candidate. There will be no study support offered with this position.
What you’ll be doing:
- Processing and coding invoices efficiently and accurately
- Managing supplier queries and resolving discrepancies
- Reconciling supplier statements and maintaining accurate financial records
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial regulations
- Building relationships with clients, suppliers and the wider Client Accounting Team (ad hoc financial tasks may be required)
About You:
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- A proactive and problem-solving approach to financial queries
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Experience in rural or property accounting (desirable but not essential)
