About The Role

Hours: 36 hours per week

Shift: Shift pattern will vary, must have the capacity to work days, nights and weekends.

Location – Wales and Bristol

Report in to: Regional Support managers and client management team

Bidvest Noonan is seeking to hire a dedicated security relief officer to support operations through Wales and the South West. This will suit the most highly motivated security and customer service professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be familiar with all fire, emergency and health and safety procedures that apply to the sites.
  • Greeting and checking-in guests in a friendly, courteous and attentive manner using the designated visitor management system.
  • Acting as a robust security deterrent, primed to adeptly manage any emergent situations.
  • Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence.
  • Be fully conversant with site assignment instructions, risk assessments and business continuity plans.
  • Maintain the Front of House area and ensure a professional and tidy appearance.
  • Always maintain an alert and vigilant approach, to ascertain any potential threats or changes within the work environment and take the appropriate steps to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
  • Ensure that there is a thorough handover after each shift with Security personnel.
  • Keep accurate record of incidents, visitor logs, and other security-related information.
  • Respond to emergencies, such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches, and assist in evacuation process.
  • Document and report any incidents or security breaches to the appropriate authorities.
  • Monitor and control access points, ensuring that only authorised personnel and visitors are allowed entry.
  • Fulfil any reasonable request given by Bidvest Noonan management or client management team.

  • Must have strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong background in Security and Customer Service.
  • Time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible in their ability to meet the company’s needs.
  • 3-day First Aid at Work.
  • SIA CCTV Licence.
  • Minimum of 2 years Front of house experience in a busy multi-functional environment.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • SIA Security or Door Supervisor Licence.
  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Be punctual and reliable.
  • Be flexible and willing to assist to cover shift at short notice.
