Reporting to the Contract Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all requirements of the sites allocated to their designated portfolio to ensure Assignment Instructions are complied with and met, working with the Contract Manager in maintaining a high standard of service, meeting the agreed contract specification. This will include liaison with clients to deal with all contractual matters and staffing issues, from recruitment through to welfare and discipline. The position requires a professional, well-informed and consistent approach to both internal and external contacts thus conveying the professional image and exceptional standards of Bidvest Noonan and the NHS.

Provided with equipment to carry out the role, this job is primarily working Monday to Friday, with the requirement to cover out of hours and weekends ensuring all business within the contract is complete. Operating from Grimsby location, but working across all three locations, having a driving licence to drive between sites across the contract is essential.

Flexibility and commitment is vital to ensure we are able to meet our contractual obligations and provide the highest standards of service to our customers. On occasions some out of hour’s incidents may occur and our managers are expected to take responsibility for the situation in hand.

Specific Duties:

  • To assist the Contract Manager in maintaining a high standard of service, meeting the agreed contract specification
  • Role consists of a very high level of administration and requires a good level of IT skills
  • Take/make telephone calls to ensure the effective running of the security & car park operations
  • Ensure that the relevant specification needs are read and understood
  • Adhere to agreed targeted levels of labour and other costs.
  • Provide general training for supervisory and management staff under his/her control, highlighting any additional training and development needs required.
  • Ensure that all staff are included on a training plan which is updated annually.
  • Ensure that annual staff appraisals are carried out
  • Responsible for the selection, motivation, discipline, safety and general welfare of the staff under his/her control.
  • Maintain efficient and accurate records for quality, cost control and personnel in line with best practice management.
  • To undertake administrative tasks as needed, including data inputting, scanning, printing, archiving and filing
  • Producing and completing documents (including confidential ones) to ensure timescales are met
  • Developing and maintaining databases and filing systems
  • Creating and processing quotations for additional sales
  • Receiving and processing incoming information/reports/emails etc and making recommendations to support
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with hospital staff in line with best practice management, in order to ensure satisfaction with our service, commitment to our long-stand presence and the further extension of our business within the hospital and other hospitals.

  • Assisting with HR, payroll and PPS teams
  • Onboarding and arranging inductions of new starters
  • To assist with any other duties as directed by management

Essential criteria to meet:

  • Be smart and well presented at all times, leading by example to show the high standards required
  • Have experience within the security industry, with a proven track record for quality service
  • Be polite, helpful and diligent, with a ‘can do’ ethos with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Have the ability to work to deadlines and effective time management skills
  • Be in possession of an SIA SG/DS/CP Licence and have awareness of health and safety requirements
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to deliver the highest standard of customer service
  • Be experienced in managing staff, including welfare, disciplinary and development issues
  • Have a driving licence and the ability to attend all the sites within the designated contract
  • Be able to demonstrate a high standard of IT skills to use TimeGate, Email, Word and Excel effectively
  • Have experience of managing budgets and providing management information
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Hold or be prepared to attend SIA CCTV License Training
  • Attend an Occupational Health Check (Attend HEP B Inoculations)
