We are looking for an Operations Manager to join us here at Bidvest Noonan. You'll be someone that thrives in a dynamic working environment, managing all operational and commercial requirements across a designated portfolio of sites, primarily within the retail sector. You will take accountability for account retention and growth by ensuring all day-to-day KPIs and service standards are consistently met. We want someone who is not only our senior point of contact but also someone who can build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders across the portfolio.

Key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness through the effective management of a P&L valued at approximately £4.5m.
  • Attend client, third-party, and internal meetings as required, including meetings at Bidvest Noonan offices or other locations as directed by senior management.
  • Produce and submit accurate management information to provide meaningful insights to your customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong operational knowledge of TimeGate (T&A), ensuring all site schedules are fully accurate and compliant.
  • Build and sustain effective client relationships through regular site visits and proactive engagement.
  • Monitor performance against agreed KPIs, taking corrective action where targets are not met.
  • Ensure Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments are consistently maintained and up to date across all sites.
  • Manage colleague performance, working closely with the People & Culture team where required.
  • Ensure all colleagues receive training to the required standards for their assigned sites.
  • Oversee weekly reconciliation and allocation of duties to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Liaise with the Talent Acquisition team to support recruitment activity and ensure staffing requirements are met.
  • Ensure you have robust succession plans and future talent is captured and development plans are in place.

Knowledge, experience, and competencies:

  • Ideally be in possession of an SIA SG/DS/CP Licence.
  • Ideally candidates will have FM soft services experience.
  • Preferred candidates will have operated in a retail environment or similar fast-paced sectors.
  • Experience of managing teams across multiple locations.
  • Able to review and analyse management information and data and provide valuable customer insights.
  • Have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
