The main purpose of the job is to support with keeping the GMP area, such as labs and manufacturing areas, in a clean and presentable condition whilst promoting good health and safety practices.
Duties as a Cleaner:
- To carry out general cleaning tasks as directed by your supervisor to the agreed standard.
- To carry out all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including health and safety and personal hygiene.
- To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are used at all times and that equipment is kept clean and in good working order.
- Report faulty machinery/equipment immediately.
- To always display yellow safety signs in areas where you are working in line with health and safety regulations.
- To ensure company uniform is kept clean, tidy and is worn at all times whilst at work.
- Ensure you wear the relevant PPE and that it is worn at all times.
- To use every effort to develop and maintain effective working relationships with our customers and your colleagues.
- To notify your line manager if you need training in any aspect of your job and to attend training as required by your supervisor/line manager.
- Report all accidents and dangerous occurrences to your supervisor/line manager.
- Comfortable working alone and in a team.
- Ability to prioritise and manage an ever-changing workload.
- Cleaning experience would be preferred; however, full training will be provided.
- GMP cleaning experience desirable but not essential.
