A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Bidvest Noonan for Security Officers who will work at our client site. We require Officers to be SIA licenced – Security Guarding/Door Supervision & CCTV. You must be able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and excellent customer service to both our clients and service users.

Duties as a Security Officer:

  • Complete reception duties, to include post, directing student queries, escalating queries, and dealing with visitors.
  • Complete site patrols as expected and investigate suspicious activities.
  • Perform locking and unlocking duties as required.
  • Operate personal radios, pagers, patrol equipment and CCTV equipment.
  • Perform handovers, using Daily Occurrence Books (DOBs) and maintain all security logs.
  • Investigate maintenance faults in need of potential immediate action and elevate these as appropriate, including reporting of faults, Health and Safety hazards, and unsafe working practices.
  • Participate in accidents/incidents which may occur emergencies in accordance with instructions held therein, including fire alarms, lift entrapments and building evacuations, in liaison with Site Services when needed.
  • Respond to calls for First Aid and administer treatment as required.

Job role requirements as a Security Officer:

  • A valid SIA Licence – Door Supervision.
  • First Aid at Work Certificate desirable.
  • Have knowledge of Assignment Instructions (AI’s).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in a Security or relevant role (a minimum of 12 months).
  • Driving is essential within the role in the company vehicle.

Rota Pattern:

  • 3-4 shifts over 7 days.
  • 12 hour shift.
  • Available day shift & night shift.
  • Overtime required for absence & holiday cover.

Essential criteria:

  • SIA Licence.
  • Valid manned guarding/door supervisor.
  • Valid CCTV licence.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Valid Right to work.
  • 5 year checkable history.
