Pay: £65,000 per annum, yearly discretionary performance related bonus scheme worth up to £6,000 (SixThousand Pounds)

Hours of Work: 45 hours per week, generally between 0800-1700hrs Monday-Friday, flexibility required ifdictated by operational demand.

Job Overview

As the UK Security Contract Manager you will be responsible for both Safety & Security for the client contract(Site based in London with occasional travel to other client locations)

Reporting to the Bidvest Noonan Key account Manager and client Security Manager, carrying out duties includingoverall responsibility for client & Bidvest Noonan operational compliance, testing & exercising, operationalexcellence, daily/weekly/monthly/yearly reporting, security team management including development ofstaff/sickness/disciplinary/performance to name a few.

This is an active and visible role requiring excellent customer relationships and people management skills with theability to influence several stakeholders. The Security & Safety Contract Manager will be expected to positivelycontribute to the overall service to the Client, lead the safety & security team and take a pro-active andcommanding position in all safety and security incidents.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

This role will include a variety of tasks, including the following:

  • Promote a safe and secure environment for all attending client London & Liverpool sites
  • Ownership of team performance and customer satisfaction, utilising the security supervisor to deliver thehighest possible standards
  • Provide excellent support to clients ensuring client aims, objectives and ethos are aligned with securityoperations
  • Co-ordinate and support client sites around operational excellence, requirement to visit these sites maybe required to fulfil this
  • Act as a conduit between Client sites in UK and Worldwide if required
  • Explore innovations which will enhance and evolve security operations on site, presenting theseinnovations to the Client
  • Ownership of yearly performance review for all team members, ensuring these are completed andreviewed by you
  • Perform health and safety audits & compliance assessments in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitor safe working practices on an ongoing basis to ensure a high standard of excellence.
  • Recommend corrective action related to hazardous conditions to the appropriate sources.
  • Accountable for the delivery of safety & security, on-site training, including toolbox talks.
  • To manage excellent relationships with the Client, stakeholders & visitors.
  • To ensure compliance with all statutory and relevant company and Client policies.
  • To lead, develop and retrain staff to deliver quality services in the most efficient and effective mannerand achieve a “One Team” approach across the client Contract.
  • Compilation of rotas and management of leave and absence supported by the Security Supervisors.
  • Ownership of assignment instructions.
  • Maintenance of all records and logs.
  • Reviewing incidents to establish good practice and learning, sharing across client sites
  • Performance reviews of the safety & security team ensuring consistency in service, performance acrossclient UK sites
  • Oversee the effective monitoring of access control & CCTV
  • Ensuring agreed procedures of escorting visitors, Clients, contractors & staff as and when required.
  • To understand customer business and therefore site safety & security needs to exceed customerexpectations.
  • Overall responsibility to KPI & SLA metrics are met and exceeded, present monthly report to Client
  • Attend meetings at the customer’s request and the ability to network with local business for example‘Safer Neighbourhood Teams’ and the New West end Company.
  • Future inclusion of SOC within the security contract delivery

Team:

  • To manage the people resources effectively and efficiently to deliver the required services
  • Management of supervisors to allow a consistent, prioritised and resilience service
  • To set objectives for direct reports and renew quarterly.
  • Ensure same approach and mechanisms for all staff within area of responsibility.
  • To ensure excellent communications with and motivation for all staff.
  • Work with management to ensure all new starters are trained, licenced in accordance to the contractualand statute requirements.
  • To ensure all new starters receive a formal induction and site-specific training.
  • To ensure objectives, performance reviews and Toolbox Talks are completed as company policy.
  • To ensure all staff understand business and customer requirements, operational and financialperformance through implementing standing company policy. To identify training needs and ensure needs are met and results evaluated to assess business impact forall staff.
  • To ensure that specialist support and all company resources are utilised in the most efficient andeffective manner.
  • To reduce labour turnover by proactively managing people issues in co-operation with other servicelines.
  • To be efficient, polite, of smart appearance and diligent in the discharge of the duties required includingwearing uniform provided.
  • To conduct the operation of the contract in a pro-active manner to minimise difficulties with the buildingenvironmental systems.
  • To ensure that all effective communication channels are utilised in order to keep both the Client and thecompany informed of relevant information.
  • Any other duties as required by a position of this level within the organisation for which the individual issuitable or capable of.Qualifications and

Qualifications:

  • Frontline SIA DS and CCTV licence
  • Substantial operational safety & security experience including major and critical incident management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
