About The Role Belfast Container Terminal (Belfast) 48 hours per week Monday to Sunday 12 hour shifts 0700 to 1900 and 0500 to 1700. (Night cover 1700 to 0500, will be required during staff holidays). £11.44 Per hour Job Spec Vehicle checks Vehicles search Access and Egress Patrols Essential Criteria SIA SG Licence Basic Computer Skills Main Purpose of Role Reporting to the Regional Manager, the role holder will be responsible for delivering the security service for our client and for the day-to-day protection of persons and property. They will ensure that exceptional service levels are provided to our client and customers and carry out the appropriate defined security processes and procedures in accordance with our policies, Vison and Credo. THE BASICS Reinforce our vision to always be our clients partner of choice; Ensure client premises and surrounding area is safe and secure by carrying out patrols internally and externally on site and permitting only authorised personnel; Proactively operate CCTV cameras to identify suspicious activity and capturing footage of an evidential nature if required; Report any suspicious items or activities; Maintain a log of all incidents and provide written and verbal reports to the Contract Manager; Advise Line Management of any security occurrence or system failure and identify and report any situation of potential risk or concern affecting security; Maintain, operate and test security equipment and report any failures or performance deterioration; Comply with SIA, Company and client operating procedures, working practices and protocols; Successfully complete mandatory SIA training; Adhere to performance standards which deliver client and customer expectations; Ensure adherence to all legal requirements; Actively contribute towards the achievement of our strategic and operational targets and overall business aims. Person Specification Area Essential Criteria Desirable Criteria Qualifications Current valid SIA licence (Manned Guarding or Door Supervisor). 1st Aid Certificate. Knowledge and Experience Demonstrable track record/experience in a customer facing role; Ability to work in a demanding and high compliance role; Managing challenging situations; Strong customer focus in delivering and improving services.
