Amazon Security Officer
Location: Belfast Salary: £12.71 per hour Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off | 10am-2200hrs (12-hour shifts)
About the Role
We are recruiting professional Security Officers to join our team at a busy Amazon depot in Belfast.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast‑paced logistics environment, protecting people, property and assets while delivering exceptional customer service.
Working permanent night shifts, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for employees, contractors and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Control access and egress for employees, visitors and contractors.
- Carry out gatehouse duties, including managing vehicle movements.
- Protect client property, personnel and assets.
- Conduct regular internal and external security patrols.
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and security incidents.
- Complete accurate incident reports and daily occurrence logs.
- Carry out staff, contractor and vehicle searches where required.
- Liaise with the Police, Fire & Rescue Service and other emergency services.
- Exercise sound judgement and strong interpersonal skills.
- Support the operational needs of the client.
- Comply with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Follow all client security policies and procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.
Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence.
- Previous security experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Ability to produce accurate reports.
- Physically fit and able to patrol a large site on foot.
- Basic IT skills.
- Ability to work permanent night shifts on a 4 on, 4 off rotation.
Desirable
- CCTV Licence.
- First Aid qualification.
- Previous logistics, warehouse or depot security experience.
- Gatehouse or access control experience.
