As a Security Operations Centre (SOC) Supervisor, you will lead a duty shift team of security operations centre operators delivering 24/7 contact, coordination, intelligence, and incident management capabilities. You will be responsible for managing the team's workflow, taskings and responses, ensuring the highest standards of operational effectiveness and customer experience through the content and services provided. You will be the primary operational duty decision maker and key part of the organisational, incident management, and business continuity chains. You will collaborate with other stakeholders across the organisation and customer teams, and report directly to the SOC Manager to deliver the function.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the centralised control room based monitoring, coordination, and support to Bidvest Noonan sites, teams, and customers.
- Ensure effective incident management, reporting, and response coordination.
- Line management of allocated SOC Operators.
- Oversight and provision of intelligence, incident, and event notification alerts.
- Supervise, assure, and direct operational functions including but not limited to: Information and intelligence research tasks, briefings and content.
- CCTV operations, alarm monitoring, access control, building management and other associated systems supporting remote access services delivery.
- Dispatch & coordination of mobile teams staff, stakeholders, and suppliers as appropriate.
- Emergency / incident notification and escalations.
- Effective distribution of and appropriate action on all communications via electronic platforms, phone, and radio.
- Interface and coordination with other stakeholders and emergency services.
- Lone worker & site team safety protocols (e.g. check calls).
- Resilience and continuity for sister 24/7 capabilities (e.g. T&A compliance).
- Maintain the 24/7 contact centre service for Bidvest Noonan encompassing: Act as the primary Bidvest Noonan Major Incident Response control node.
- Coordinate and provide business continuity services to Bidvest Noonan Teams or customers as directed.
- Operation and maintenance of all necessary information systems, documentation, and logs.
- Role model standards in essential behaviours and culture including safety, and commitment to our pillars of People, Customer, Simplicity, & Growth.
- Support the ongoing expansion to the Bidvest Noonan Security Operations Centre (SOC), contributing to development of a centre of excellence capability.
- Participate in all directed training and continuous professional development.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate within the scope of broader SOC responsibilities and the wider Security Risk & Intelligence Unit.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Do you have experience in operational control room or similar environment?
- Do you have experience in emergency response / management, CCTV control, or coordination centres?
- Do you have supervisory or first line management experience?
- Do you have a valid front-line SIA CCTV Licence (or willingness to undertake)?
- Are you an experienced information and communications systems operator?
- Do you have strong communication skills?

- Do you have experience in or awareness of scheduling systems (Time-Gate or similar)?
