About The Role
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) license.
- CCTV License is desirable; if not, must be willing to undertake relevant training.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a security operations centre or supervisory role, preferably in a corporate or high-security environment.
- Basic understanding of health and safety protocols, fire safety, and emergency procedures; health and safety certifications are desirable.
- First Aid certification is desirable but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV monitoring tools, incident management software, and other relevant technologies.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Leadership and Supervision: Ability to lead and manage an onsite team of security operatives, ensuring high performance and adherence to security protocols. Conduct team briefings, performance reviews, and training sessions. Act as the primary point of contact for escalations and ensure issues are resolved efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Incident Management and Response: Proficiency in assessing, responding to, and managing security incidents, including unauthorized access, system alarms, or emergencies. Ability to coordinate response efforts, involving internal teams and external agencies when necessary. - Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure compliance with all site & client security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with data protection protocols and secure handling of sensitive information.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to adjust to changing tasks, priorities, and shift patterns, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Ability to support the wider security team as needed, including covering operational duties. Training in conflict resolution, advanced incident management, or risk assessment is highly desirable.
- Previous experience supervising security operations in a corporate environment. Proven track record of managing evacuations, lockdowns, or other emergency situations effectively. Familiarity with Google platforms is a bonus.
