We are looking for a PR and Communications Manager to join our marketing team. This is an opportunity to help shape how a large, established business is understood and recognised externally. We have a strong story to tell and a busy agenda of activity across press, awards and social media. We need someone with the sharpness and writing ability to ensure that everything we put out does us justice. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing on priorities and direction, and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation.
What you will do
- You will manage our entries for industry and other external awards throughout the year. Winning recognition matters to the business, and we have a busy calendar of submissions. This means identifying the right opportunities, coordinating inputs from across the organisation, and writing or substantially improving entries. The work is detailed and demanding. It requires clear thinking, strong writing and the ability to draw out what makes a project or team genuinely stand out. You will be accountable for the quality of what we submit.
- You will manage our public relations activity, working with an external PR agency to secure regular, high‑quality media coverage. This means getting the best from the agency relationship, ensuring that messaging is accurate and well positioned, and bringing editorial judgement to everything that goes out under our name.
- You will support the editorial direction of our social media presence, particularly on LinkedIn, working alongside team members who manage day‑to‑day content.
What we are looking for
- We want someone with a sharp mind and real clarity of thought. This role is about the quality of what we put out, and that starts with the ability to think clearly, write well and exercise good judgement about what to say and how to say it.
- You should be someone who can take a complex brief and make it compelling, who can spot what isn’t working in a piece of content and fix it, and who holds themselves to a high standard.
- You will need to be organised enough to manage a busy workload across multiple areas, and confident enough to build relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Experience in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, copywriting or a related discipline is valuable, but we are open to someone stepping into this kind of role for the first time if they have the right ability and mindset. What matters most is how you think and how you write.
- Experience in facilities management or a related sector would be welcome but is not essential.
- Exceptional written English is essential.
- Candidates must have the right to work in the UK or Ireland.
