Bidvest Noonan are seeking to recruit aUniversityPorter

The position will suit a highly motivated organised and energetic individual who is customer focused to positively impact the student experience.

To provide Portering and cleaning support to university staff, students and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Emptying general waste and recycling bins within Campus and removing to external bin areas
  • Unlocking, locking & setting up of meeting rooms
  • Ensuring cleaning equipment and materials safely stored away
  • Assist with setting up, including laying-out of classrooms, examination rooms
  • Removal, re positioning and setting up furniture
  • Moving of furniture, equipment, etc., across the University campus.
  • Carry out special duties e.g. graduation days, open days, student or staff demonstrations
  • Receiving & delivering of mail within the Campus
  • Usage of various trucks, trolleys & pallet trucks
  • Usage of carpet cleaners, burnishers, wet vac.
  • Show initiative to anticipate problems arising with daily duties
  • Assist at any emergency incident as directed
  • Report anything in need of repair or replacement to your Team Leader.
  • Be familiar with the required care standards and regulations governing your job
  • Undertake health and safety training to include lifting and carrying as required
  • Be prepared to receive and undertake further training as required

Qualifications

  • Do you have 3 Years Contract Cleaning or Porterage experience?
  • Do you have Manual Handling certificate (preferred)?
  • Do you have a Valid UK Driving Licence?
