Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor live CCTV feeds, intruder alarms, fire alarms, and access control systems.
- Incident Management: Act as the central point of communication during emergencies, coordinating security officers and liaising with emergency services when required.
- Access Control: Manage electronic barriers, issue access passes, and monitor restricted areas.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily logs and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Equipment Maintenance: Identify and report system faults and carry out basic diagnostic checks on security equipment and software.
- Patrolling / Health & Safety: Full site patrol consisting of a 78-point route. Identifying potential safety concerns or near miss incidents.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Licensing (UK): Valid SIA CCTV Licence (Public Space Surveillance) required. An SIA Door Supervisor Licence is often advantageous.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience using Video Management Systems (VMS) and integrated security platforms.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with a calm and professional manner when using radios and telephones.
- Concentration: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain focused during long monitoring periods.
Working Conditions
Shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays as part of a 24/7 operation. Role involves working in a high‑pressure environment with the need for quick and effective decision‑making during incidents.
