The role holder will develop and lead operational excellence and best practice within a designated portfolio; optimising our service and value offering to customers to achieve performance targets. You will bring innovation and leadership and ensure a high-performance culture within your remit. This is an active and visible role requiring strong leadership competence in addition to entrepreneurial ability. Client interaction is significant and excellent relationship management skills are required.
Role and Responsibilities
- To manage a team of Security and related personnel, in providing a quality service to the assignment(s) falling within the remit of the role, whilst managing the related costs.
- Operational responsibility for the contracted hours, additional hours, materials and equipment provided to the client within the assignment, working alongside and reporting to the Key Account Director.
- Creation and implementation of a Security Strategy that meets the client’s expectations and Company vision.
- Responsible for leading and building excellent relations with all Service Partners building on the clients ‘One Team’ ethos.
- Work collaboratively on all assignments across the BNP Paribas portfolio sharing best practice.
- Endorse and promote new group initiatives and ensure they are implemented within the business.
- Build a strong quality culture, identifying gaps within the teams and work with the Key Account Director to address gaps.
- Manage the recruitment of personnel on assignment ensuring recruitment department are provided with staffing, vacancy and interview requirements.
- Champion the Company Credo.
- Manage and monitor the probation period of all new employees.
- Conduct Investigations and disciplinary hearings using the appropriate documentation. Seek HR guidance to resolve uncertainties.
- Carry out Welfare Reports, Annual Goal Setting & Appraisals, Performance Improvement Plans and Probation Reviews with staff in assignment.
- Responsible for ensuring site pay systems are correctly updated and site employees are paid correctly.
- Responsible for managing staff holiday allowances in line with operational assignment requirements.
- Implementation of the Bradford factor to monitor staff absence and sickness in line with Health, Safety and Welfare requirements.
- Managing sub-contractors directly related to Security Operations on the assignment.
- Creating quotes and raising invoices through the supply chain.
- Responsibility of running pay reports and raising pay queries.
- Liaise with the training management team and conduct training needs analysis to identify competence gaps and create a learning culture.
- Completing induction with all new starters.
- Manage and maintain all the site training documentation.
- Implement and manage robust induction training for new employees and personal development plans for all other team members.
- Produce and present monthly client reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- Assist the Key Account Director with financial reports.
- Attend client monthly account meetings.
- Provide Innovations ideas within contract reports.
- Communicate any grievances, absences, sickness in a timely manner through the correct communication chain.
- Manage and maintain a compliments and complaints report.
- Communicate Health and Safety matters in a timely manner through the correct communication chain.
- Completing additional reports for Key Account Director/Client/Bidvest Noonan Health & Safety Executive when requested.
- Management of the health and safety reporting on site.
- Ensure compliance of Industry Standards, relevant employment legislation, ISO, Data Protection (GDPR), Company procedures & policies and SIA licence processes.
- Oversee and implement the client’s governance of physical security controls, procedures, H&S policies.
- Maintain full compliance of Health and Safety legislation, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Conduct monthly quality audits in full.
- Developing and implementing processes, procedures, events to incorporate Corporate Social Responsibility.
Person Specification
Mandatory
- Security Management experience within the Corporate Sector.
- Experience of managing budgets with the ability to demonstrate and implement initiatives to measure and improve account financial targets.
- Possess excellent leadership and motivational skills in order to create a high performing team and will coach and develop team members to achieve their potential and will have an inspiring and engaging management style.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative, often in challenging situations, as well as being a collaborative team player who will support colleagues and provide ideas to improve the whole team effort.
- Strong knowledge in Risk Management.
- Familiarity of access control, CCTV and intrusion detection systems.
- Customer focused.
- Full Security training and licences in place.
- Demonstrate a strong aptitude for multi-tasking.
