We are looking for someone ideally based in London. Reporting to the Sustainability and Safety Director – GB and IOI, the role holder will support Facilities Management services operations nationally, primarily cleaning and security operations. They will guide our operations teams with implementation of the Bidvest Noonan health and safety strategy, through a combination of remote and in-field support. They will possess a deep understanding of health and safety and operational needs within FM services and deliver exceptional health and safety support. The role holder will work closely with our operations teams to promote a culture of safety, aligned with the company purpose ‘to proudly create safer and healthier communities today, for tomorrow’.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, promote and lead Health & Safety implementation plans in line with contractual requirements
- Manage legal obligations and client expectations in line with industry best practice
- Drive both Noonan objectives and client expectations on-sites
- Oversee the development and continuous improvement of site-specific risk assessments and permit to work systems to meet regulatory and corporate requirements
- Drive compliance and continuous improvement through auditing and staff training
- Engage with staff to ensure a culture of excellence is achieved and maintained
- Conduct, manage and review incident investigations
- Review process and equipment changes to identify potential Health & Safety impacts
- Review and report on relevant contractual KPIs
- Engage with the clients to ensure key contractual requirements are fulfilled
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in health and safety roles within the support services industry
- Experience within the cleaning and security sectors
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Working knowledge of ISO 45001:2018
- Experience in leading and driving safety improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication skills including use of PowerPoint and other presentation tools
- Excellent organisation and project planning skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with operations and functional teams
- Ability to communicate effectively
