A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Bidvest Noonan for a Cleaning and Janitor Operative, who will work at our client’s prestigious site. To ensure that Janitor and cleaning duties are carried out to the highest standard and according to deadline. Must have experience in working in a Pharmaceutical Cleaning environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • The collection and delivery of heavy items within the Museum up to reasonable weight.
  • Maintain daily records of tasks carried out.
  • Ensure that all adhoc wastes info are recorded in the relevant books.
  • To ensure all loads are secured with the straps provided when moving items through the museum.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with the training received.
  • To report all building faults and damage to your immediate supervisors who will in turn notify Estates.
  • To report accidents or near misses immediately to your supervisors.
  • To follow the museum wastes policies and procedures.
  • To attend additional training courses when required including in house toolbox talks.
  • To ensure that works listed on the daily calendar are completed according to their timing.
  • To ensure that tasks on the “Daily Tasks Schedule” are completed in a timely manner.
  • To manage and maintain Janitor and cleaning equipment to high standards.
  • To ensure cleaning stores are always kept clean and tidy.
  • Ensure that consumables are replenished, and any shortages reported to the line manager in a timely manner.
  • Report any areas of concern to the supervisor.
  • Ensure that all chemicals and products used for cleaning are stored and used according to the manufacturer’s instructions and directions to ensure a safe working environment and minimise risk of accident and injury.
  • Comply with Health & Safety Legislation.
  • Comply with Company and Client policies and procedures.
  • To comply with the Company’s accident reporting procedure and assist promptly and accurately in the completion of all relevant documentation.
  • To build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues/key clients/Stakeholders.
  • To report any building faults to the Estates team for rectification.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the grade and as required by the nature of the role.

Job role requirements:

  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and can quickly develop rapport with key stakeholders.
  • Easily adapts to change with a can-do attitude, proactive approach.
  • Has at least 3 years’ experience in similar role and intermediate level of Microsoft Office package – Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Is a confident and effective communicator and able to clearly delegate tasks where needed.
  • Has a full command of the English language and can induct and train operatives to a good standard.
  • Effectively audits cleaning standards and ensures performance is managed fairly and consistently across the service, escalating where applicable.
  • Adequately plans tasks and works quickly and efficiently to a high standard to meet cleaning standards.
  • Works collaboratively as part of a team to achieve objectives, hands on.
  • Is solution focussed and works to correct any issues that arise, adopting a common sense approach.
  • Promotes a high level of customer service.
  • Is professional and approachable at all times.
