The Care Assistant post is at Moorlands Lodge Care Home, run by Avery Healthcare Group Ltd. The work is personal care for residents, protecting their hygiene, independence and dignity, and spotting clinical risks such as weight loss, pressure sores and falls, then escalating them promptly. No experience is needed, as induction and training are provided, but the role needs flexibility to cover varied tasks at short notice. A DBS check and proof of right to work are required.
What the job involves
- Deliver high standards of personal care to residents, ensuring continuity of services
- Assist residents with all personal hygiene care, maintaining their independence, dignity and respect
- Recognise and understand clinical risks such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls and signs of infection, and upscale identified risks in a timely manner
- Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting each resident's dignity and individuality
- Practise safe systems of work across the range of tasks
- Contribute fully to the care team

- Carry out reasonable instructions from other team members efficiently
