What the job involves
- Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to continuity of care for residents
- Assist residents with all personal hygiene care, supporting their independence, dignity and respect
- Recognise and understand clinical risks such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls and infection, and elevate identified risks in a timely manner
- Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting each resident's dignity and individuality
- Practise safe systems of work across the range of tasks
Skills & knowledge
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Show initiative and be respectful towards residents and others in the home
- Work efficiently and carry out reasonable instructions from team members
- Adapt and remain flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice
