This Registered Nurse post sits on Ward 6 at Furness General Hospital, run by University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. What the job involves
- Deliver safe, effective and compassionate nursing care to patients with acute stroke, frailty and complex medical conditions
- Meet patients' physical, psychological and social needs
- Undertake nursing assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans
- Monitor clinical condition, including vital signs and neurological observations, and escalates deterioration promptly
- Provide specialist stroke care and support rehabilitation by promoting independence
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, carers and MDT members
- Keep accurate, comprehensive and timely records in the electronic patient record
- Practise with professional accountability in line with the NMC Code
