What the job involves
- Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to keep services continuous
- Assist residents with all personal hygiene care, supporting their independence, dignity and respect
- Recognise clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls and signs of infection, and elevate them promptly
- Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting each resident's dignity and individuality
- Follow safe systems of work across the range of tasks
Skills & knowledge
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Initiative and a respectful manner towards residents and others in the home
- Efficient working and the ability to carry out reasonable instructions from team members
- Adaptable and flexible enough to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice
