This Band 5 post sits in the Tameside & Glossop District Nursing Service, covering the five neighbourhoods of Tameside, with a team base allocated on appointment. The work centres on assessing patients' care needs and running and reviewing care programmes within a multidisciplinary community team, including covering the caseload when the senior lead is absent. What sets it apart is the range of working patterns on offer, the possibility of working across localities as service needs require, and supervising learners and unregistered staff. Applicants need NMC registration or to be within two months of it, and newly qualified nurses join a preceptorship programme.
