This is a Registered Nurse post at St Peter's Park Care Home & Retirement Village, run by Agincare, with one 24-hour contract and one bank contract on offer. The nurse mentors and develops a team of care staff, making sure residents' clinical needs are met, and handles medication, nutrition and care-plan support. The work is residential and rotates between day and night shifts, and the post is open to newly qualified and experienced nurses alike. A valid, in-date NMC PIN without restrictions to practice is required, and visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Motivate, mentor and develop a team of care staff so residents' clinical needs are met
- Provide professional, safe, high-quality care and support
- Administer and record medication safely in line with company policy
- Assist residents with personal care in line with individual care plans
- Liaise with care home management, families, social workers, medical professionals and residents to meet individual needs
- Make recommendations when residents' care needs change
- Monitor resident nutrition and hydration, updating nutrition plans as dietary needs change
- Monitor residents for pressure wound risk and abnormal toilet output
- Take part in and promote resident activities

- Evidence of recent clinical CPD
Registration & licences
- NMC registration with a valid, in-date PIN and no restrictions to practice
Checks & eligibility
- Right to work in the UK for at least 12 months
