Technical Designer

Technical Designer (AutoCAD & Revit) – Commercial Fit-Out & Refurbishment – 3 month FTC – £50,000 – £70,000 (Potential to go permanent)

We are currently seeking a skilled Technical Designer with expertise in AutoCAD and Revit to join a dynamic design and build team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of construction methods, buildability, and fit-out/refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the Head of Technical Design to manage projects from a technical perspective.
• Develop detailed construction drawing packs using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Coordinate technical design on-site, supporting project and site managers with buildability issues.
• Conduct site surveys and building analysis.
• Navigate procurement routes such as design & build and detail & build.
• Collaborate with project teams to refine designs and meet client requirements.
• Liaise with subcontractors on technical aspects and buildability.
• Maintain and update design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Attend project and client meetings to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Ensure designs adhere to UK building regulations and Building Safety Act (BSA).
• Coordinate with freelance design resources as required.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience in a similar role within commercial fit-out or construction.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Architecture; knowledge of Revit is a plus.
• A collaborative team player with a problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A confident and knowledgeable professional who can engage effectively with stakeholders.
