Bid Writer in Bristol

I am currently working with a forward‑thinking consultancy who are seeking a bid writer or senior bid writer to join their growing team. This role would suit a bid writer with 18 months+ experience who has a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of the bidding lifecycle, and a commitment to producing compelling, client‑focused content.

This role can be office based (Warrington), hybrid or remote. The salary is £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience. My client is open to any sector background however previous experience in professional services or compliance would be a bonus. A relevant degree is essential – English, Creative Writing, Journalism etc.

Duties and responsibilities

• Creating persuasive, client‑focused content for complex bids and proposals.
• Collaborating with bid managers and subject matter experts to develop winning strategies.
• Conducting research and gathering evidence to support proposal content.
• Editing, proofreading, and ensuring the overall quality of submissions.
• Coaching and mentoring junior bid team members.
• Assisting bid / no‑bid decisions and strategy meetings.
• Ensuring compliance with ITT requirements and deadlines.
• Translating complex technical information into clear and engaging content.
• Managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Maintaining a high standard of attention to detail.
