My client is a specialist consultancy delivering strategic communications, security, resilience and international development programmes for government, defence and international clients worldwide.
They are seeking an experienced (Senior Level) Bid Writer to lead the development of compelling, evaluator-focused proposals for complex public sector opportunities. You'll shape win strategies, develop technical narratives and work closely with programme, commercial and subject matter experts to create high-scoring submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical proposal development from capture through submission.
- Analyse tender requirements and evaluation criteria.
- Develop win themes, value propositions and proposal narratives.
- Write and edit compelling technical, management and mobilisation responses.
- Support solution design, governance, staffing and delivery approaches.
- Collaborate with proposal, programme and commercial teams.
- Maintain reusable bid content, case studies and lessons learned.
- Proven success writing and winning complex public sector bids.
- Experience with UK Government, defence, security or international development opportunities.
- Strong proposal writing, editing and communication skills.
- Understanding of Shipley, APMP or similar bid methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Experience using AI-enabled tools for research and proposal development.
- Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).
- FCDO, ISF, NATO, UN or donor-funded programme experience.
- Strategic communications, resilience, governance or security-sector knowledge.
