About the Role

We're looking for a Freezer Operative to join our night shift team at Kingfisher Brixham. We're proud to supply some of the UK's best chefs, restaurants, pubs, hotels and caterers with fresh fish and seafood sourced from Brixham and beyond. Behind every customer order is a team of hardworking people, making sure products are picked, packed and prepared accurately and on time. This is a hands‑on role where you'll play an important part in keeping our operation running smoothly. Working within our freezer department, you'll help ensure customer orders are packed accurately, safely and to the high standards we're known for. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Order Preparation & Accuracy
    • Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
    • Ensure products are handled correctly and packed to the required standards
    • Check orders for accuracy before dispatch
    • Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail
  • Teamwork & Operations
    • Work closely with colleagues across the night shift operation
    • Support the wider team during busy periods
    • Help ensure customer orders are ready for dispatch on time
    • Contribute to a positive, supportive team environment
  • Health, Safety & Standards
    • Work safely within a freezer environment, all PPE and training will be provided
    • Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures
    • Maintain a clean and organised working area
    • Take pride in maintaining the high standards expected throughout the business

About You

We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. You’ll take pride in doing a job properly and understand the importance of accuracy, quality, and attention to detail. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, willing to learn new skills and take on responsibility, and bring a positive, can‑do approach to everything you do.

  • Flexibility during busy periods when overtime may be required. We aim to finish at 2am, but busy periods see later finishes for the full team.

Bonus (but not essential)

  • Previous warehouse, factory, production or food manufacturing experience
  • Experience working within chilled, frozen or food handling environments
  • Experience working night shifts
  • No previous seafood experience is required. We’ll provide full training and support. What matters most is your attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
