Overview
This is a Business Development Manager role focused on identifying, targeting, and winning new independent foodservice customers across London (within the M25). This is a pure new-business role β ideal for someone who thrives on hunting for opportunities and building relationships from the ground up. You will apply deep knowledge of meat products, from cuts and sourcing to spec and pricing, to build trust and deliver tailored, commercially viable solutions that meet customers' full menu and business needs. Collaboration is essential; you will work with our production, technical, and logistics teams to ensure a seamless customer journey from pitch to plate. Responsibilities
- The role is focused on developing new business with independent foodservice customers in London (within the M25) and managing the end-to-end customer journey from initial pitch to delivery.
- Build relationships, understand customer needs, and translate them into actionable proposals in collaboration with internal teams.
Qualifications
- 2 β 5 years in the meat industry
- Strong understanding of meat species - cuts, specs, sourcing, pricing, and customer requirements
- A proven track record of winning and developing new business β especially in the independent sector
- Ability to sell on value, not just price β present quality, service, and reliability as part of the pitch
- Confident communicator and negotiator, able to build rapport with chefs, owners, and buyers
- Knowledge of the London hospitality market (inside the M25)
- Commercially aware, target-driven, and hungry for results
- Full UK driving licence preferred and flexibility to cover the London region
- Proficient in Excel with the ability to compose clear and professional emails
