About the role
Our busy evening shift is looking for an additional team member to join them, processing orders from 5 pm. You will be interacting with our key customers every day, delivering great customer service as you deal with orders and queries. Accurate data entry of orders through our system will require great attention to detail. You will be an extension of the sales team when Account Managers are away from the office, and so excellent communication skills are key.
What the role involves
- Hours of work are 5 pm to 2 am, on Sundays, Mondays (or Tuesdays), Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (Saturdays and Monday or Tuesday off, to be agreed ahead of employment and to be the same every week).
- 2 am is the time we aim to finish, but across busy periods, finish times would be 3‑5 am – overtime is paid at time and a quarter.
- To be a point of contact for our customers, taking orders via phone, email, voicemail or instant messenger. Training will be provided on how to process these on the system, but a basic knowledge of IT and email is essential.
- To efficiently and accurately arrange paperwork and reports, to be communicated to drivers for the following days deliveries.
- To handle all administrative tasks efficiently and professionally, thereby promoting a great customer service culture.
- To make sure all customer, supplier and colleague information remains confidential.
- Liaise with other departments, resolving discrepancies in orders to ensure smooth flow of information.
- Ensure that good practice and all processes are followed in order to ensure the health and safety of our colleagues and customers.
- You may be required to carry out additional duties consistent with your status and abilities from time to time.
- You will also be required to help the production team with end‑of‑night processes from around 11:30 pm, including box counting, lifting and loading. This will be in our fridges/freezer.
About you
We are looking for a positive customer‑driven individual who is sales focused; preferably with telesales experience but this is not essential, and who will deliver against administrative tasks. You will need to possess good communication, numeracy, literacy and problem‑solving skills. When talking to our customers we expect you to continue your positive customer drive by showing our customers a great telephone manner, taking calls professionally, courteously and in a timely manner.
We will require you to have a basic knowledge of Word and Outlook, plus Excel would be a bonus. Lastly you must be willing and able to help in the Factory as this is a dual role covering two departments, with part of the shift office based and the other part factory based.
Summary
- 40 hours per week plus overtime, 5 pm to 2 am + 5 days per week, Saturday and Monday off
- Starting at £12.75 per hour with opportunities to progress
- Bonus scheme based on 100 % attendance: 15 % bonus paid October to April and 25 % bonus paid May to September. Details of the scheme can be discussed at the interview stage.
- Overtime and bonus will top up earnings to over £30,000.
