As a Bidfood Trunker / Shunter, you will be supporting our nights team making available and loading vehicles in readiness for a smooth departure for their morning customer deliveries. This means you will be handling ambient, chilled and frozen food products at depot, in our yards and occasionally out on the roads driving a HGV to collect goods from other Bidfood depots. This role is a working 5 out of 7 nights per week.
You will have a good mix of variety and familiarity in this role and ultimately whilst you’re working with various teams, you’ll have our customers at the heart of everything you do. This role has a key compliance aspect with temperature checking throughout the night. It can be a physically demanding role - but it’s also a very rewarding one! There will be a regular need to support with HGV vehicle loading and unloading, meeting the highest of safety standards.
Your induction and training will take place at our Birmingham depot based in Cannock ready for operations out of our brand new, flagship depot in Worcester Six Business Park.
