Overview
Warehouse Stock Apprentice
Our journey began back in 1929. Since then, we’ve continued to build a strong and resilient business with a great future. It’s why we believe we’re the best foodservice provider in the country. This role is based at our Worcester Depot and reports to the Warehouse Manager.
You will learn how our Warehouse Management System controls stock throughout our processes and all aspects of stock checking systems, maintaining stock integrity. You’ll also be working towards achieving your Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative qualification. You’ll be:
- Checking and recording stock to standards and using relevant systems
- Learning how to control fixture sizes, labeling, Sales Monitoring, and all aspects of food safety
- Assessing needs, investigating discrepancies and making recommendations
- Following all health and safety and food safety procedures
- Supporting stock checks and audits
- Learning how to use the warehouse management system
- Helping maintain a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse environment
- Often working alone and being self-motivated
This role blends desk and warehouse work; you’ll be moving around a lot, so a good level of physical fitness will help. It’s important that you care about your team, our customers and our goods, and that you work to ensure drivers leave with the correct stock on board their trucks so our customers get the food they need.
Prior Qualifications
No formal prior qualifications are required for you to apply, but we are looking for passes in GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) along with a good level of IT skills.
