About the role
Are you a creative and commercial marketer that’s passionate about turning insights into action for customers and building customer relationships? The Customer and Sector Marketing team are responsible for developing sector and customer marketing strategies that reflect the latest consumer/market trends and support our customers to grow.
This Customer Marketing Manager role is responsible for the development of sector focused marketing strategies to support our ambitious business growth targets and to help us win, grow and retain business specifically in Universities and Healthcare. You’ll need experience of developing integrated marketing plans through the marketing mix and a passion for embracing new techniques that help our customers to thrive.
As the voice of the customer, you will be responsible for communicating throughout our business to ensure customers' needs are placed first. This role gives you direct access to operators across and requires that you work with them face to face to understand their challenges and support their growth plans. Therefore, you will need to be an effective relationship builder, confident presenter and skilled at understanding our customers' requirements.
This role will require you to work closely with our sales team, seeking insights and agreeing areas of focus, clearly communicating and implementing marketing plans that help them to confidently engage and inspire customers. The role will require you to liaise closely with the sales team, all Marketing teams, category teams and the food development team. In the role you’re expected to use research and insight to drive your decisions, whilst tapping into your creative flair and communication skills to activate campaigns that hit the needs of your customers.

- Experience of translating insight and research into customer activation.
Marketing planning, copywriting and creating digital plans are key elements of this role, and the ability to create compelling and concise content to ensure our message is understood and acted upon is a must. Knowledge of digital marketing is essential, as is being effective at briefing and managing in house creative/artwork and external agencies. Some event management experience is also desired.
We work in a deadline driven environment, so you’ll need to have strong marketing and commercial skills along with a great eye for detail. We have to juggle a number of projects at any one time so you will need the ability to multi-task and to be flexible in your approach, along with the confidence to do things differently to fit in with changing market dynamics and customer needs.
We are looking for someone who has a relevant marketing degree or a minimum of 2 years' marketing experience, ideally in the food and drink industry. Finally, we pride ourselves on our foodie culture, so you’ll need to have a keen interest in food!
