About the Role
Are you a great people manager? Do you have the ability to drive and motivate a team to work together and achieve their goals? Are you a great communicator with a proven ability to build relationships at all levels? Knowledgeable in all things Transport, especially legislation? Motivated to meet and exceed KPI’s?
As Transport Team Manager, you’ll work as part of a team responsible for managing the operations, compliance and most importantly… the people! You’ll really ‘get’ the value in recognising good work in the team and making sure they are motivated will be your priority! You’ll lead the team putting safety at the forefront and working towards shared goals of delivering the best service!
- Coaching the team to reach their full potential
- Communicating openly and consistently, delivering key messages to the team at the right time
- Managing recruitment, absence, performance conduct safety and service
- Responsible for managing commercial vehicles, cages and pallets
- PPE, vehicle checks, CV servicing, MOT’s, VOR’s, temperature checks, near misses to name a few!
- Allocating work considering individual/team capability and legal driving hours to achieve targets
- Carrying out good quality investigations
- Promoting and managing all safety
