About the Role
We are seeking a Route Planner to assist the Transport Team in ensuring that the drivers are routed and scheduled in the most efficient way whilst delivering service excellence. You will be responsible for planning routes for drivers from the Chepstow and Swansea depots, maximizing cases per vehicle and managing volume.
You will work closely with the Transport Team to ensure all routing and planning complies with drivers’ working hours and customer requirements, and that drivers deliver service excellence to our customers. You will plan the order of deliveries according to agreed timescales, taking into account customer requirements and legal requirements such as the Working Time Directive, to accommodate routes.
You will respond to urgent changes in customer requirements, adapting routes as required. You must have experience working within a transport department, be an effective communicator with strong organisation skills and a keen eye for detail. If this is you, we look forward to hearing from you.
