About the role

Play an important part in our journey. Oliver Kay Bradford are the only depot within Bidfood with an onsite packing operation which provides pre-packed fruit & veg throughout the network. This role is an exciting opportunity to join our current team to enable us to expand and grow the department. Our day shifts have varying start times from 5.00am and rotas are any 5 in 7 days.
As an Operative you’ll have varying responsibilities throughout the packing process. You’ll be:
- Picking orders for processing
- Pre-packing items to a high standard while ensuring compliance paperwork is completed accurately
- Using our handling equipment (we’ll train you on how to use it safely!)
- Relocating products using pump trucks, power pallet trucks and forklifts - Forklift experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be issued
You’ll be moving around a lot, so a good level of physical fitness will help you on your journey with us. It’s also important that you care about your team, our customers and our goods. Most of all, you’ll work hard to make sure our orders are completed accurately, on-time and customers receive quality product.
