We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Deputy Manager in a Residential unit for young people and adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism (ASD), challenging behaviour and other Mental Health issues at our Units in Gravesend and Rochester, Kent.
Your Responsibilities
We’re recruiting a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of our residential units in Gravesend and Rochester, Kent, supporting young people and adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism (ASD), mental health needs, and challenging behaviour. You’ll take a hands-on approach to delivering person-centred care, supporting daily activities, responding confidently to challenging situations, and ensuring care is safe and consistent. You’ll also step in to cover the Registered Manager when needed, helping to maintain standards required by legislation, local authorities, and the CQC.
About You
You’re caring, proactive, and organised, with strong time management and confident leadership skills. You’ll have experience in a senior role within residential care (ideally 3+ years as a Team Leader/Senior Support Worker), including staff induction, supervision, and training, and you understand the importance of compliance, audits, and accurate documentation. You can administer medication, have a solid understanding of CQC regulations and legislative requirements, and hold a Level 3 (or degree) in Health & Social Care, working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care. Flexibility is essential, as the role includes sleep-ins and weekend shifts, and covering absences when required.
