We are looking for a Therapeutic Practitioner for our Ofsted-regulated Therapeutic Children’s Home, which cares for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Our therapeutic children’s home is in need of an ambitious, driven, and motivated individual who is prepared to think about our children and how to best meet their needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day therapeutic care to children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Create a safe, warm, nurturing home where children can play, learn, and thrive.
- Support children with educational, recreational, and social activities while acting as a positive role model.
- Build strong professional relationships with children, families, and partner agencies.
- Uphold high standards of professional conduct.
- Complete accurate recording including daily notes, report writing, and key-working documentation.
About You
- Ambitious, driven, and motivated, with a genuine commitment to therapeutic work and improving young people’s lives.
- Ideally have experience working with children/young people in a residential setting (at least 1 year required).
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations is highly desirable.
- Good communication skills and ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team.
- Bring emotional intelligence, patience, and resilience to your practice.
- A relevant qualification is preferred (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People/Childcare).
- Must hold a full UK driving licence and have the right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS (ideally on the update service) is required.
This is a full-time, permanent, in-person role.
