We are looking for an experienced Design & Technology Technician to support our department in preparing lessons, assessing materials, and bringing fresh ideas to our students.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of the Design & Technology curriculum across wood, metal, and plastics projects.
- Help students develop practical, soft-skill, and sustainability-focused competencies.
- Prepare lesson materials, technical resources, and digital models.
- Assess existing teaching resources and propose improvements.
- Work closely with two full-time teachers and a technical team.
- Encourage students to consider the social and environmental impact of their projects.
Qualifications
- Former Teacher of DT, engineering or technology background, or skilled carpenter tradesperson.
- Relevant training acceptable; willingness to learn.
- Passion for working with young people and genuine concern for their development.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of 3D sketching and digital modeling tools.
