The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

To provide the primary point of contact for all Transport issues that arise and to carry out administrative duties in order to help the depot meet its administrative responsibilities whilst providing professional customer service.

Accountabilities (may include, but not limited to):

  • Carry out administrative and reporting duties to help the depot meet its legislative and corporate governance requirements.
  • Effective handling of calls/emails to provide administrative support within agreed parameters or to elevate issues outside these parameters to the Transport Management.
  • Utilise data input using the appropriate electronic systems.
  • Liaise with the other departments to ensure effective communication and distribution of information to support the achievement of depot targets.
  • Manage the collation of data in respect of any system/tools to add value to the department e.g. OPTAC.
  • To action and manage administrative duties as directed to ensure our customers (internally and externally) receive a good level of service.
  • Checking and marshalling temperature sensitive goods, ensuring they are returned within the target temperatures (involves working in a multi-temperature environment).
  • Support management in any tasks that are necessary to support the effective running of the department(s).

Essential requirements:

  • Keen eye for attention to detail utilising a methodical approach.
  • Ability to record information to a high level of accuracy.
  • Delivering Service Excellence to the customer.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Conscientious.
  • Hard working with the ability to be effective under pressure.
  • Be pro-active and able to work under your own initiative.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft applications including minimum basic use of Excel.

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience of working within a Wholesale/Transport environment.
  • Experience of using OPTAC.
  • Knowledge of Transport legislation.
