As Transport Team Manager, you will work as part of a team responsible for managing the operations, compliance and most importantly... the people! You will recognise good work in the team and ensuring they are motivated will be your priority! You will lead the team putting safety at the forefront and working towards shared goals of delivering the best service!

Some of the key parts of the role include:

  • Coaching the team to reach their full potential
  • Communicating openly and consistently, delivering key messages to the team at the right time
  • Managing recruitment, absence, performance conduct, safety and service
  • Responsible for managing commercial vehicles, cages and pallets
  • PPE, vehicle checks, CV servicing, MOTs, VORs, temperature checks, near misses to name a few!
  • Allocating work considering individual/team capability and legal driving hours to achieve targets
  • Carrying out good quality investigations
  • Promoting and managing all safety
