We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead and develop a high-performing night shift team within a fast-paced warehousing and distribution environment. This role is ideal for a strong leader who thrives in operational settings, can manage large teams, and has the commercial awareness to drive performance against budgets and KPIs. You will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high service levels, and continuously improving processes. Experience within a multi-drop, multi-temperature foodservice distribution environment would be highly advantageous.
As Warehouse Team Manager (Nights), you will work as part of a team responsible for managing the operations, warehouse and most importantly the people! You will recognise good work in the team and making sure they are motivated will be your priority! You will lead the team putting safety at the forefront and working towards shared goals of delivering the best service!
Key Responsibilities- Lead, manage, and motivate large operational teams to achieve performance targets.
- Plan and coordinate workloads across the operation to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Monitor operational performance against KPIs, budgets, and financial targets.
- Build strong working relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Review existing policies and procedures, recommending improvements where necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement and implement new ways of working across the operation.
- Ensure operational activities align with changing customer and business requirements.
- Support the development of team members through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Manage conflicting priorities and deadlines while maintaining operational stability.
- Advanced verbal and written English and strong numeracy skills.
- Proficient in IT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proven experience managing operations in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
- Ideally experience within multi-drop, multi-temperature foodservice distribution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop large teams.
- Excellent people management and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Experience managing operational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple departments.
